Our third project Erasmus+ week was led by Turkey. We had some wonderful zoom meetings again, looking at their beautiful school and grounds near Istanbul and got to sample some Turkish Delight in class. There was some very informative presentations on food waste and how to minimise food wastage from a chef and lots of great ideas for making authentic Turkish salads in very creative ways. We saw and had a go at some interesting food based experiments to show how amazing the chemistry of food actually is. We spent some time discussing and learning about compost and how we could save food waste by making our own - which we will be doing a lot more of at school in future. There was even a lovely presentation about the Very Hungry Caterpillar!
